Westlake World Partners
Welcome to the website of Westlake World Partners!

We are a not for profit Corporation formed to work with the City of Westlake, Ohio in its Sister City program. Westlake began its Sister City program to help increase its citizen's awareness and appreciation of the varying cultures and civic plans and activities of similar cities worldwide. Westlake World Partners mission is to help identify potential Sister Cities, assist in establishing a relationship, and identify, promote and fund joint cultural, civic and educational programs consistent with the City's expectations.

To date, a Sister City relationship has been established with Tralee, Ireland and numerous projects already accomplished or planned. As part of that relationship, we hold an annual Northern Ohio Rose of Tralee Selection Celebration to select a young lady to travel to Tralee for the International Rose of Tralee title. While this is probably our most visible activity and also serves as our primary source of funds, it is only a part of the activities to date or planned to accomplish our mission. You can learn more about this Celebration by visiting www.NorthernOhioRose.com.

A new relationship is also being considered with the City of Kingsville, Ontario. In addition to having a civic profile comparable to Westlake's, Jack Miner, a naturalist of international fame, was born in Westlake but spent most of his career in Kingsville. As our programs continue to mature, other cities will also be considered.

If you have a suggestion as to a possible project, a potential new Sister City, want to join the volunteers who staff Westlake World or seek further information, please call the Office of Westlake's Mayor at 1-440-871-3300.
